Olight S1R Baton II initial review. Micro Brute.

They say that bigger isn't always better, I'd say they are correct.

Meet the SIR Baton II by Olight.

The light is a 1000 lumen, magnetically rechargeable compact light that is more than capable of holding it's own against full size 18650 style lights. This thing is a beast.

Under the optic sits a Cree XM-L2 CW led, given power by a Olight 550mAh IMR RCR123A Battery.
This light is a high output light. It can eat a battery with ease, and gets hot doing it. It's rather awesome for it's tiny size. The optic really gets the best use of the light.

;Let's compare this in size to an S1 Mini Baton.

Let's take a look at the battery, and compare to the stock battery of the S1 Mini.

New battery on the right.

This light has wireless, magnetic charging! seen here >

So, what all do you get?

So, let's look at some pertinents!

I wish there was a 150 lumen spacing. But the 60 is remarkably bright!

Let's look at modes here >

A few more photos!

I look forward to really testing this light out for the followup review.

This thing is POWERFUL. It can mop the floor with plenty of larger 18650 lights with ease. Of course, this is a smaller light, with a much smaller battery.

The fit and finish is the norm for Olight, it's perfect.
