TOWILD BC01 bike light, best bang for the buck? Initial Review

xx

Yes! I think it is! For the money you get ALOT of light here.

It's a bike light, and a pocket-light.
At about the size of a roll of quarters, this light seriously impressed me.

It came in a simple enough box, inside was:

The light.
The TOWILD branded 1200mAh 18500 battery
Charging cable
Handlebar cradle
2 rubber straps
Lanyard
SkyBen USB light as a bonus.

The light uses a CREE XP-G2 S3
And is quite cool in tint.
I'm not sure of the CRI, but it's got to be knocking on 90.
Pure white brilliance!
It looks like it used a TIR optic behind a textured lens. So although it does throw, the spill is butter smooth and transitions quite nicely.

The lights numbers are:
Oscillating strobe @ 500 lumens
Flashing at 180 lumens
Low @ 50 lumens for 10 hours.
Med @ 180 lumens for 3 hours.
High @ 500 lumens for 3 minutes, then it steps down to 180 lumens. Total cumulative high run-time is 1 hour

Max stated range is 140(max)
IP rating of 6

There's a charging port on the body on the light for USB charging.

I like cool white lights, and this is simply a stunner. Here's a comparison with the Olight S1 Mini
70CRI

The TOWILD is up top, the Olight at the bottom.

 Beam profile.

So let's look at colors, the first is the Olight, second is the TOWILD.

Not shabby for $20, right?

Let's see some bike shots.

Seriously impressed!
It's UI is simple, long press to turn on, then clicks to cycle through, press and hold for flashing.
This is on the growing list of long term reviews. I hope to get some rides in soon with it.

It's small, powerful, it's the TOWILD BC01!
