Rofis R2, Rofis hits another homerun!

Not very long ago, my friends at SkyBen sent me the Rofis R1, it was a FANTASTIC light, and I really warmed up to it. They just sent it's taller, yet skinnier brother, the Rofis R2.
The difference: The R1 uses 16340 rechargeables or CR123's. Whereas the R2 uses 14500 rechargeables  or regular AA  cells.
The fact that it can use everyday batteries most have around the house may, and will be very appealing to many. Although it can use regular AA batteries, I'd strongly suggest using Ni-Mh, known as Nickle-Metal Hydride, if not using rechargeables.

To catch up on the R1, check it out at... http://ohlakewalker.blogspot.com/2018/01/rofis-r1-transformer-lives.html

So, if you haven't read about the R1, the R2 is the same light. Just a different size, and a different battery type. And a different amount of output and run-times.

The R series from Rofis are versatile.

It's a flashlight.
It's an anglehead flashlight.
It's magnetic base allows you to stick it to things, like a car fender.
It's a headlamp.

Thus, why I called it the transformer light, and when it comes to performance, these lights punch way above their given weight class.

The above chart speaks for itself.
The lumen spacing was what told me this was the light for a 10 day hike coming up.

Of course, the light comes with a 14500 rechargeable battery and a magnetic charging cable with a USB end to it.

It's just that easy!

I use these light as headlamps, but you don't need to do that. That's where this light shines.
Simply pop it out of the light holder, toss on the belt clip, perhaps the lanyard, move the head, and you're set!

Again, Rofis hit another homerun.
For size comparisions...
R2 LEFT-R1 RIGHT
R2 LEFT - R1 RIGHT

R2 FOREGROUND -R1 REAR
Heads, identical.
For the sake of near redundancy, do check out the blog about it's brother the R1 @

So, how powerful is this little light?
Tree 65+ feet away, tree tops out at about 60ft.
Picture says it all :)

And I'll leave you with this...
